Oversize Egyptian Lioness Plaster Lamp & Shade by Chapman

Spectacular oversize 1970s textured plaster lamp featuring the Egyptian lioness goddess "Sekhmet" with feathered mane and incised lifelike details sitting upright on a notched square base designed by Chapman as part of the worldwide exhibition of Tutankhamen.

The finish resembles stone and the lamp is solid, weighing almost twenty-five pounds. In very good original vintage condition with some small chips and a stable hairline at the neck, pictured.

Original working wiring in as found vintage condition. This is statement-making lighting and Egyptology at its best which is sure to turn heads and start conversations.

New celadon green linen shade, harp and original plaster ball finial are included. This will ship in two very large boxes.
